What does a home inspection involve and how long does an inspection take?

A home inspection is an objective general visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home from the roof to the foundation. The average size home takes between two and two and one-half hours to complete. The inspection includes the condition of the home’s heating system; air conditioning system; interior plumbing and electrical systems; the roof, attic and visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors; the foundation, basement (if applicable) and structural components. Pool/Spa inspections are performed for an additional fee.
